就出庭發言權而言，大律師可在上至終審法院，高等法院上訴法庭及原訟法庭，區域法院，下至區域法院，裁判法院及土地審裁處發言；而事務律師則在裁判法院，土地審裁處及區域法院有發言權，以及在高等法院的部分聆訊有發言權。
It is worth to note that as a lay client, you cannot instruct a barrister directly, but you must do it through your solicitor.
